This camp teaches you to be a commercial fishing crew member. You will be fishing a net that is 50 fathoms (as long as a football field) in a 22 ft Aluminum skiff with people who will teach you. As a set netter you will live on land with other crew members in a comfortable building. When you are not on the water fishing, you will be learning to make nets, rig anchors and cooking good meals. After this camp you will have an idea what it is like to work in the Bristol Bay fishery and will have experience that could help you get a job. You will work hard, catch fish and have fun!
