The Pre-Apprenticeship Training in Healthcare (PATH) Academy is for Alaskans aged 16 and above, offering a gateway to explore potential career opportunities in health care. This hands-on training equips participants with essential skills and five nationally recognized certifications. Participants will become excellent candidates for an entry-level healthcare job or apprenticeship program. Once participants have completed the Academy they are connected with Alaska Primary Care Association Employment Specialists to assist them with job or apprenticeship placement.
PATH Academy participants can earn the following nationally recognized certifications:
- Basic Life Support CPR (this is a provider-level training, distinguishing it from regular CPR)
- Teen Mental Health First Aid
- First Aid
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Mandt De-escalation Training
